My Sabbatical
Karen's longest sabbatical with no blackberry was a 6 week camping trip across the Rocky Mountains including climbing Longs Peak to 14,259 feet above sea level http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longs_Peak. Each year she and her husband do everything they can to work and play remotely including examples such as adding on days to work trips to far away places in Asia, spending at least 2 weeks in Alaska every June, and challenging each other to add 2 weeks in Montana every Fall. Next year we are planning our first trip that includes a remote drop in Alaska to Wrangell-Saint Elias Wilderness - coincidentally the largest designated wildnerness area in the United States http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrangell-St._Elias_National_Park_and_Preserve.
